Dr. Ashley French, Medical Director

Born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma, Dr. Ashley French attended Oklahoma State University, where she completed both her undergraduate studies and her veterinary degree. Following graduation, Dr. French moved to Dallas, Texas, where she began her career at a busy general practice, providing both daytime and after-hours veterinary care. After a few years in general practice, she transitioned to a full-time position at a privately owned emergency clinic, which eventually expanded into a 24-hour emergency and specialty care facility. There, Dr. French practiced for 11 years, building her skills and experience in high-intensity veterinary medicine.

After leaving Dallas, Dr. French joined a national 24-hour poison consultation center, where her training focused on toxicology, providing risk assessments and treatment guidance to veterinary professionals and pet owners.

Dr. French has a particular interest in shock, trauma, and wound management. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is collaborating with her team to educate families about their pets' health and helping them through challenging times.

Now back home in Oklahoma, Dr. French is thrilled to be in clinic, where she can once again provide hands-on care for pets and their families.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling to visit friends and family, attending concerts, and catching sporting events.

Dr. Ellen Domnick, Diplomate ACVS, Board Certified Surgeon

Dr. Domnick is a 1993 University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine graduate and a devoted Bulldog fan. After graduation, she headed to California for an internship at the Sacramento Animal Medical Group. Then, she completed a residency in small animal surgery at the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. She became board-certified in small animal surgery in 1999.

She moved to Oklahoma in 1998 to join the small animal surgery faculty at Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  She enjoyed writing textbook chapters and articles, lecturing, and working with veterinary students. While at OSU, she also completed an alternate track residency training program in dentistry and started OSU’s first dentistry training for students. As a faculty member or resident, she has authored or co-authored over two dozen journal manuscripts and book chapters and has been a speaker at state and national conferences.

Dr. Domnick later joined our Neel Veterinary Hospital in Oklahoma City to continue emergency surgery and dentistry. During COVID, she regularly traveled to Charlotte, NC, to work with the team at the Hospital for Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery.

Dr. Domnick, her family, and 3 dogs live in Stillwater, OK, home of Eskimo Joes and Garth Brooks.

Dr. Sherrie Hodgson, Associate Veterinarian

ER & Treatment Staff Manager | Internship Mentor

Dr. Hodgson joined Neel Veterinary Hospital in 2008 after graduating from Oklahoma State College of Veterinary Medicine. Professionally, her interests include dermatology and emergency medicine. The love she has for her patients is evident in the care she takes developing the best treatment plan for each animal she examines. As a former ballerina, details are crucial to Dr. Hodgson, and she leaves no stone unturned in finding the correct diagnosis for her patients.

Dr. Hodgson is one of our Small Animal Rotating Internship Mentors. Her wealth of knowledge and kindness make for a great combination to teach new DVMs as they begin their careers.

With her first grandchild born recently, Dr. Hodgson spends as much time as she can with her family and beloved Dachshunds.

Dr. Ashley Donnelly, Associate Veterinarian

Intensive Care Unit | Internship Mentor

As a graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Donnelly began her professional career at Neel Veterinary Hospital in 2009. Her passion is the Intensive Care Unit, and she spends each of her shifts caring for our hospitalized patients. Dr. Donnelly also mentors our Small Animal Rotating Interns and 4th-year veterinary students for their ICU rotations.

When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Donnelly loves to spend time with her family, especially her two children. She also roots for the St. Louis Cardinals during baseball season.

Dr. Alyson Fryer, Associate Veterinarian

Exotic Animal Veterinarian | Internship Mentor

Dr. Fryer is a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been an integral part of Neel Veterinary Hospital since 2009. With a deep passion for exotic animal care, she thrives on treating the most unique and extraordinary pets—from pocket pets and birds to primates, rabbits, reptiles, and even large mammals. Her dedication to veterinary medicine extends beyond exotics; she also has a strong love for emergency care and holds a Certified Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA) credential from the Chi Institute.

At home, Dr. Fryer’s love for animals doesn’t stop at work—she shares her life with a lively menagerie of pets that keep her on her toes. When she’s not caring for animals, she cherishes time with her family, embracing the joy and adventure that comes with both two- and four-legged companions.

Dr. Anamaris Miranda Montes, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Miranda, a proud graduate of Ross University College of Veterinary Medicine, grew up surrounded by the beauty of Puerto Rico before making her way to Oklahoma City. She joined Neel Veterinary Hospital in 2016 and quickly found her stride in the fast-paced environment, thriving in the challenges of emergency medicine.

When she’s off duty, Dr. Miranda often travels back to Puerto Rico to visit her extended family, staying connected to her roots. At home, she enjoys the quieter moments with her two children, embracing family time and the balance between her dynamic career and life outside the hospital.

Dr. Kayla Delmas, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Delmas joined Neel Veterinary Hospital in May 2020 after earning her doctorate from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. With a deep passion for emergency medicine and diagnostic imaging—particularly CT scans—she excels at combining advanced diagnostics with urgent treatments to provide exceptional care for her patients.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Delmas stays busy with her husband, baby daughter, and beloved dogs. She also loves traveling, whether it's to visit friends and family or to explore new places.

Dr. Britani Waltman, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Britani Waltman earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. With a strong background in preventative care, surgery, and emergency medicine, she is dedicated to keeping pets healthy at every stage of life.

At home, Dr. Waltman is surrounded by the love of her dogs and cats, who are just as much a part of her family as her human loved ones. When she’s not caring for animals, she enjoys crocheting, hiking, and spending quality time with her family and beloved furbabies.

Dr. Yiran Chao - Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Yiran Chao, a native to Westchester, NY, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Tulane University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, where she embraced island life while gaining a solid foundation in veterinary medicine. She completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University, where she expanded her hands-on experience across multiple specialties. With a strong passion for neurology, Dr. Chao is driven to pursue board certification in the field.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Chao enjoys reading, trying new recipes, and spending time with her beloved island dog, Duck.

Dr. Sydney Price - Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Sydney Price was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. From the age of four, her love for science and animals was evident, sparked by cartoons featuring animals - an early fascination that led her to pursue veterinary medicine. Her career path solidified during her undergraduate studies, partaking in a summer shadowing experience at a veterinary hospital. In 2017, she began attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, then completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation Dr. Price worked for Banfield Pet Hospital for two years where she found her passion for general wellness and preventative medicine. She joined our Neel Vet’s intern team to enhance her skills in emergency medicine and surgery.

While at Ross, Dr. Price adopted Oliver and Mimi, who joined her older cat, Lizzy, to complete her three-cat household. Dr. Price is grateful her veterinary career has given her the opportunity to travel and gain diverse experiences. When she is not helping families enhance the bond they have with their pets, Dr. Price enjoys baking and enjoying the outdoors.

Dr. Kali Roberson - Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Kali Roberson is a 2023 graduate of Oklahoma State University. She has special interests in preventive care, dermatology, and behavior. Dr. Kali believes that preventive care and good behavioral health are the core of a healthy pet.

Having been the owner of several “difficult” pets herself, she is passionate about ensuring pets receive compassionate care while minimizing the stress the patient experiences.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, playing video games, and traveling around the country to ride roller coasters. Her current pets include her bunny, Booker, and her cattle dog, Spectre.

Dr. Deseree Rose - Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Deseree Rose is passionate about providing exceptional veterinary care to pets and their families. A graduate of Oklahoma State University with 15 years of experience, she has a special interest in ICU, surgery, wound care, and endocrine diseases.

Dr. Rose values building lasting relationships with clients and is dedicated to helping pets live happy, healthy lives. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, riding her horses, and traveling. She is excited to be a part of the Neel Vet team and looks forward to meeting you and caring for your pets.

Dr. Allison Wessels - Exotic Veterinarian

Dr. Allison Wessels is an exotic intern at Neel Veterinary Hospital, where she applies her passion for exotic animal medicine. Originally from Iowa, she earned her Bachelor of Science from the Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in 2020, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. She has a strong interest in emergency care and dentistry, particularly as they relate to exotic species.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Wessels enjoys reading, painting, and swimming. An avid traveler, she loves exploring national parks across the United States and embarking on international adventures to experience new places and cultures.

Dr. Haley Furman - Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Furman is a compassionate veterinarian with extensive diagnostic experience and a special interest in canine sports medicine, behavior, pain management, gastrointestinal disease, and geriatric care.

Outside of work, her hobbies include overlanding, backpacking, and ultramarathons. The remainder of Dr. Furman's free time is spent exploring and competing with her dogs.

Dr. Lisa Loomis - Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Lisa Loomis is a dedicated emergency veterinarian with a strong background in small animal general practice. Originally from New Mexico, she is passionate about providing compassionate, personalized care to every patient she meets.

Dr. Loomis values the opportunity to support families through both routine visits and critical moments, and she takes great pride in building lasting relationships with pets and their owners. When she’s not at the hospital, Dr. Loomis enjoys spending time outdoors and making memories with her family and friends.
